Oaktree sponsors 2025 Primary School Student of the Year

Dr. Deveaux at 2025 Primary School Student of the Year Awards

Nassau, Bahamas — June 2, 2025 — Oaktree Medical Center, through its Health Network, is proud to serve as a sponsor of The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Awards, honoring the outstanding accomplishments of our nation’s top-performing primary school students. The Center extends heartfelt congratulations to the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation and its President & CEO, Dr. Ricardo Deveaux, on twenty-nine years of unwavering service and commitment to educational excellence.

As a graduate of St. Augustine’s College and a proud Bahamian, Oaktree’s Chief Medical Officer, Deacon Dr. Don D. Deveaux, reflects on this milestone with admiration and encouragement:

“This programme does more than recognize academic achievement—it nurtures the next generation of leaders in our nation. At Oaktree, we celebrate these young scholars and the values that shape them into beacons of purpose and perseverance.”

Dr. Deveaux also shared five guiding principles that continue to shape his life and leadership at Oaktree: Faith, Vision, Obedience, Sacrifice, and Discipline. These values not only reflect the ethos of Oaktree Medical Center but also echo the mission of the Foundation in building character and excellence among our youth.

“We are also guided by our personal commitment to build community for a stronger country for Christ,” Dr. Deveaux noted.

Oaktree Medical Center remains dedicated to empowering Bahamian youth and building a healthier, purpose-driven future. The Center congratulates every 2025 nominee and encourages each student to let their light shine brightly as they walk with pride, courage, and faith into the future.
