Nassau, Bahamas – The St. Augustine’s College Alumni Association (SACAA) proudly announces Oaktree Medical Center as the title sponsor of the 2024 Lighthouse Awards & Gala Ball, held Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Atlantis Resort Grand Ballroom. The partnership—highlighted by contributions from Dr. Don and Kristi Deveaux, SAC alumni and leaders of Oaktree Medical—ensured the event’s success and continued support for SAC students.

Oaktree’s sponsorship directly funded scholarships and tuition grants totaling more than $30,500 for outstanding SAC students for the 2025–2026 academic year. This initiative amplifies SACAA’s mission of fostering academic excellence and cultivating future leaders.

At the gala, outstanding alumni were honored, including:

  • Anthony Bostwick, recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award, recognized for his exemplary service at the Bahamas Water & Sewerage Corporation and his tireless community leadership,

  • James Clarke, who received the Uncle Lou Spirit Award for his impactful sports coaching and philanthropic work,

  • Devynne Charlton, world indoor champion and Paris Olympian, awarded Sports Achievement,

  • Algernon Cargill, honored as SAC Alumnus of the Year.

Dr. Anastasia Brown, SACAA President, expressed her gratitude:

“Oaktree’s generosity exemplifies the powerful impact of alumni giving. Their support ensures deserving students can access one of the finest educations in The Bahamas.”

Oaktree Medical Center affirmed their commitment: “As alumni, we believe in reinvesting in SAC’s legacy and empowering new generations of Bahamian leaders,” said Dr. Don Deveaux
