Dr. Knowles is a Board Certified physician practicing Podiatric medicine/foot and ankle surgery. She attended Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY for her undergraduate studies, on a full academic scholarship. It was in her sophomore year that her Anatomy and Physiology professor introduced her to the field of podiatric medicine. She pursued her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at Barry University in Miami, FL, and completed her surgical residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center (as Chief Resident) in Brooklyn, NY. Here she joined the teaching staff of the podiatric medicine/surgery residency program and worked closely with the residents in their clinical and surgical training.

Dr. Knowles became the Assistant Program Director in the Department of Surgery/Division of Podiatry at The Brooklyn Hospital Center where she worked until 2022. In February 2022, after getting married and giving birth to her first child, she decided it was time to return home to The Bahamas where she is currently practicing. Dr. Knowles is Board Certified in the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and board qualified in the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery (pending certification 2023).
